Baseball Recap: Harrah's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Harrah had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Ponca City Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since March 18th.

Harrah saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Mclaughlin, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Mclaughlin has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 9-10 otherwise.

Harrah's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Ponca City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Looking ahead, Harrah will be playing in front of their home fans against Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Ponca City, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-7 victory against Midwest City on the 11th.
