Volleyball Recap: Scott's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Scott had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wichita County Indians. This was payback for the Beavers, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Scott who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-16.

Peyton Gentry paced Scott's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gentry got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her 19 assists. Valerya Castillo controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Scott picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-10. As for Wichita County, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott will challenge Garden City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wichita County, they will take on Dighton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
