Softball Recap: Baldwin County's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Friday just wasn't the day for Baldwin County's offense. They fell just short of Auburn by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Baldwin County's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Madilyn Byrd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 14 consecutive appearances.
