Excelsior Springs barely beat Winnetonka the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Griffins on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Excelsior Springs is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Winnetonka, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Excelsior Springs will head out to square off against Grandview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
