Recap: Weequahic Indians vs. Cedar Grove Panthers
The Weequahic Indians lost to the Cedar Grove Panthers back in February of 2023, but the Weequahic Indians didn't allow the Cedar Grove Panthers the same satisfaction on Thursday. Weequahic snuck past Cedar Grove with a 48-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Weequahic.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weequahic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hekeimu Williams, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bart Jordan, who scored 15 points.
Weequahic's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Cedar Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weequahic will square off against Barringer at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Cedar Grove's road trip will continue as they head out to face Glen Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th.
