Basketball Game Preview: Walkertown Wolfpack vs. West Stokes Wildcats

The Walkertown Wolfpack will head out on the road to face off against the West Stokes Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walkertown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.

Walkertown saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 70-46 to Calvary Day School. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Walkertown got top-tier performance from Camereon Cartlidge, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Cartlidge is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Eric Wiley, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points.

Meanwhile, West Stokes earned a 61-48 win over North Stokes on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Walkertown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for West Stokes, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Walkertown didn't have too much breathing room in their game against West Stokes when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 79-74 win. Will Walkertown repeat their success, or does West Stokes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
