Softball Recap: Rockwood Comes Up Short

Rockwood managed to slip by Windber the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Rockwood lost 19-6 to Windber on Tuesday. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Miley Pletcher made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Elika Pletcher, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Rockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Windber, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

The future could be bright for both Rockwood and Windber: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Rockwood will look to extend Tussey Mountain's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Windber will try to hand McConnellsburg their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
