Basketball Game Preview: West Lincoln Rebels vs. Bandys Trojans

The West Lincoln Rebels will square off against the Bandys Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, West Lincoln was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 68-62 to Lincolnton. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Wolves are ranked 141st).

Meanwhile, Bandys was able to grind out a solid win over Bunker Hill on Tuesday, taking the game 83-76.

Bandys' victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for West Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

West Lincoln suffered a grim 85-59 defeat to Bandys when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bandys' Landon Vaughan, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 13 boards.
