Softball Recap: Pinellas Park Comes Up Short

Pinellas Park came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-5 to the Northeast Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Pinellas Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayanah Wilson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pinellas Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Northeast, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

The future could be bright for both Pinellas Park and Northeast: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Pinellas Park will look to extend St. Petersburg's seven-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northeast will try to hand Lakewood their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
