Softball Recap: Trinity Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Trinity proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 22) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Middletown Blue Raiders 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Shamrocks have posted since May 27, 2025.

Brianna Topper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

At the plate, Trinity's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Lawrence, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

The win (which was Trinity's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Middletown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Trinity is taking a road trip to challenge Susquehanna Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Shamrocks are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Middletown, they will welcome Harrisburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19 runs per game on average), something the Blue Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
