Basketball Recap: Amaya Harris Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Scotia-Glenville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Broadalbin-Perth, Troy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-46 win over the Scotia-Glenville Tartans.

Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amaya Harris, who went 8 for 19 on her way to 22 points. Harris is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kiana Tiernan was another key player, going 6 for 9 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Scotia-Glenville still got an impressive performance from Noelle Acosta, who posted 19 points and three steals. Those 19 points gave Acosta a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley O'Malley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Troy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Scotia-Glenville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Troy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-42 defeat against Academy of the Holy Names on the 10th. As for Scotia-Glenville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-43 loss against Queensbury on the 12th.
