Adams City has been away from home for two games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Broomfield Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Adams City is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Grand Junction Central on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Adams City was outmatched by Grand Junction Central on the road and fell 63-8.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broomfield). They blew past Longmont 59-0 on the road on Friday. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Colin Torres continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Broomfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Longmont only rushed for 45.

Adams City's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Broomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Adams City was dealt a bruising 56-8 defeat at the hands of Broomfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2023.
