Baseball Recap: Goodrich Takes a Loss

The Goodrich Martians didn't have quite enough to beat the Lake Shore Shorians on Friday and fell 3-2.

Goodrich saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cross Darby, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Goodrich's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Lake Shore, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Goodrich and Lake Shore should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Martians will challenge Powers Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (70 vs. 265). Meanwhile, Lake Shore (ranked 149th) will meet Hazel Park (ranked 400th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
