Baseball Recap: Green Lake/Princeton Comes Up Short

Green Lake/Princeton extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-4 in the process. They lost 23-6 to the Pardeeville Bulldogs. The Tigersharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Green Lake/Princeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Shurpit, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Drake Westfield also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

As for Pardeeville, their record is now 2-3. Surprisingly, this marked their seventh straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

On Pardeeville's side, Logan Young made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Young was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Pardeeville got a massive performance out of Joe Dosemagen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and four RBI. Those four hits gave Dosemagen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Achterberg, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Green Lake/Princeton beat Pardeeville by a score of 10-3 later that day.
