Basketball Game Preview: Curry Yellowjackets vs. Winston County Yellowjackets

Curry and Winston County are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. Both will face off at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.

On Tuesday, Curry was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Fultondale. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Winston County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Addison by a score of 44-32. While the Yellowjackets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Lynleigh Cobb was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Winston County pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Curry, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
