Basketball Recap: Willow Comes Up Short

Willow lost to De La Salle back in November of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost to the Cavalier on the road by a 56-41 margin. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Cavalier are ranked 27th).

Willow's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for De La Salle, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willow will host Benjamin Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for De La Salle, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hahnville at 7:00 p.m. The Cavalier are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
