Softball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Has No Trouble Against Montevallo

Clay-Chalkville lost to Montevallo back in March of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Clay-Chalkville Cougars were the clear victor by a 13-6 margin over the Montevallo Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Clay-Chalkville's win bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for Montevallo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Clay-Chalkville Cougars take on Minor Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Minor will need to watch out since Clay-Chalkville has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Montevallo, they will venture away from home to challenge Dallas County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
