Kongiganak comes up short despite Jarrett Brown's dominant performance

The Kongiganak Wolverines lost against the Chief Paul Memorial Falcons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Kongiganak took a 58-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chief Paul Memorial. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kongiganak in their matchups with Chief Paul Memorial: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Kongiganak still got an impressive performance from Jarrett Brown, who scored 25 points. The contest was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keon Fancyboy, who scored seven points.
Kongiganak now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Chief Paul Memorial, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Kongiganak will head out on the road to face off against Kwigillingok at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chief Paul Memorial will be home for the holidays to greet Nelson Island at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nelson Island will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
