Soccer Recap: Herndon Finds Playoff Glory Versus Cosby

Herndon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hornets who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Herndon Hornets got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Cosby Titans's four. Herndon were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on Cosby, so Herndon were just returning the favor.

Herndon is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season. As for Cosby, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4-3.

Looking ahead, Herndon will challenge Wakefield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cosby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
