Dawson had won 20 straight road games dating back to last season and Taylor Ranney did her part to make it 21 on Monday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Friendswood Mustangs thanks in part to Ranney, who had seven digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Despite the loss, Friendswood still got an impressive performance from Haley Patton, who had 23 digs.

Dawson's win bumped their record up to 37-4. As for Friendswood, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 33-9.

Coming up, Dawson will square off against Fort Bend Travis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Friendswood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
