Softball Recap: Scotia-Glenville Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Scotia-Glenville won against Glens Falls on Wednesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Tartans walked away with a 4-0 win over the Amsterdam Rams. The victory continues a trend for the Tartans in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Keeley Kristel's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Julie Cooper was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Molly Juedes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Scotia-Glenville pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Amsterdam, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Scotia-Glenville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Gloversville on the 6th.
