Grove suffered their closest loss since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Miami Wardogs by a score of 57-54. The Ridgerunners' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Miami got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Waike Roblyer out in front who went 6 for 8 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Roblyer's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Blake Sooter was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 15 points.

Grove's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Miami, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Claremore Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Miami, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-49 loss against Wyandotte on the 18th.
