Basketball Recap: Liguori Academy Victorious

Liguori Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the New Hope-Solebury Lions by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Liguori Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amir Washington led the charge by putting up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Naiem Scott-Allen, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

Liguori Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for New Hope-Solebury, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
