New Trier is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They beat Niles Notre Dame by a goal, winning 2-1. Given New Trier's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Niles Notre Dame are ranked 138th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
