Softball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Northwest Vikings
Thursday just wasn't the day for Lexington's offense. They came up short against the Northwest Vikings on Thursday, falling 18-0. The Minutemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Northwest, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Lexington will challenge Wilber-Clatonia at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lexington has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Northwest, they will face off against Papillion-LaVista at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Papillion-LaVista is on a three-game streak of home wins, Northwest a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
