It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but East Burke ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They blew past the Lincolnton Wolves 10-4. The Cavaliers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory made it two in a row for East Burke and bumps their season record up to 10-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Lincolnton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
