Softball Recap: Oceanside Comes Up Short

Oceanside lost against Winslow back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mariners fell just short of the Black Raiders by a score of 13-12. The Mariners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oceanside's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Winslow, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Oceanside will welcome Belfast at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mariners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Winslow, they will take on Cony at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
