Volleyball Recap: Bishop Seabury Academy Victorious

Bishop Seabury Academy posted their closest win since September 20th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Dighton Hornets 2-1.

Bishop Seabury Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Xeva Oldridge paced Bishop Seabury Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Oldridge got some help from Jillian Werner and her 31 assists. Oldridge also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Presley Peterson, each putting up two.

Bishop Seabury Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Dighton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-9-1.

Looking ahead, Bishop Seabury Academy will face off against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Dighton has already played their next match (against Wheatland-Grinnell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
