Clay County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pineville, sneaking past 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
The result came thanks to Abby Bowling's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks.
At the plate, Clay County secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Emi Reynolds, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Sydney Stewart also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Southwestern made easy work of Rockcastle County on Thursday and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Warriors have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On the hitting side, Southwestern got a massive performance out of Halle Norvell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Kylie Dalton was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
