Volleyball Recap: Grand Junction Central Warriors vs. Montrose Red Hawks
Grand Junction Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Montrose Red Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
The final score came out to 25-20, 25-6, 25-10.
Grand Junction Central's offense was headlined by Tallin McCormick and Sage Siegrist, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kaysen Reynolds and her 13 assists. Finally, Charlotte Douglas kept Grand Junction Central's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Montrose's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amaya Potter led the charge by getting seven digs and three assists.
