It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Elsie Allen Lobos ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Rancho Cotate 46-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Elsie Allen has posted yet this season.
Rancho Cotate's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Decimus Shaw, who scored 12 points, and Adam Pengel who scored 17 points. That was a full 38.6% of Rancho Cotate's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Liam Griffith was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Elsie Allen has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Rancho Cotate, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ukiah the next time they take the court. Rancho Cotate will host Ukiah at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Elsie Allen will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
