Volleyball Game Preview: Springfield Longhorns vs. Holly Wildcats + How To Watch

The Springfield Longhorns will square off against the Holly Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Springfield will be strutting in after a victory while Holly will be coming in after a defeat.

Springfield took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Walsh by a score of 3-1.

Springfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-9, 25-20.

Tylynn Rosengrants was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Holly duked it out with Granada on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bobcats, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-9.

Holly's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Springfield, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6.
