Volleyball Recap: Mineral Wells Takes a Loss

Mineral Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lindsay Knights. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in August of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-20.

Averie Watson paced Mineral Wells' offense, picking up 13 kills. Watson got some help from Jentry Jeter and her 13 assists. Finally, Kassie Christianson and Audrey Hudson kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Mineral Wells' loss dropped their record down to 10-15-1. As for Lindsay, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Mineral Wells and Lindsay will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams are set to square off against their familiar foe Glen Rose at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lindsay will take on rival Graford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
