Morley Stanwood waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Ravenna Bulldogs 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

One reason for the win was Morley Stanwood's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-17.

Madeline Kozuch paced Morley Stanwood's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kozuch got some help from Aivree Christensen and her 30 assists. Christensen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Morley Stanwood's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Ravenna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Morley Stanwood will be playing at home against Kent City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ravenna, they will venture away from home to challenge Montague at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
