Volleyball Recap: Delano Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Delano won the last time they faced Orono and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers blew past the Spartans 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Delano was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-8, 25-10.

Caitlin Champeau paced Delano's offense, picking up ten kills. Champeau got some help from Alexis Champeau and her 25 assists. Alexis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Delano's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Orono, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Delano is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Orono and Academy of Holy Angels will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
