Baseball Recap: Trenton Comes Up Short

Trenton fell victim to Honey Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on March 11th.

Wyatt Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

Trenton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Honey Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Trenton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Dodd City on the 1st. As for Honey Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Sam Rayburn on the 1st.
