Basketball Recap: Jones County Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 38-38 at halftime, Jones County was not quite Putnam County's equal in the second half on Saturday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 71-60 defeat to the Putnam County War Eagles. The Greyhounds just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Putnam County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Jones County will venture away from home to challenge Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Putnam County, they will welcome Towers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Putnam County's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Towers has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
