Football Recap: Carbondale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Carbondale suffered their biggest loss since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by the Cahokia Comanches and fell 52-12. The Terriers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-6.

Although Carbondale took the loss, they still got scores from Javion Oliver and Savion Jayden Thomas-Mims.

Cahokia was led to victory by Nigel Gooden and Machai Henderson. Gooden threw for 184 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes, while Henderson gained 109 total yards and two touchdowns.

Carbondale is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Cahokia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Carbondale will host Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Orphans' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Terriers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cahokia, they will head out to square off against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comanches will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
