Soccer Recap: Pittsburg Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pittsburg and Mineola squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pittsburg had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. Pittsburg were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mineola apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Jesus Perez and Ethan Santiago scored both of Pittsburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Mineola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.

Pittsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mineola, they will take on Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Henderson will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Mineola surely won't give up without a fight.
