Basketball Game Preview: Texas Tigers vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers

Texas hasn't had much luck against Mt. Pleasant recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Texas Tigers will face off against the Mt. Pleasant Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

Texas is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since February 9th on Saturday. They lost 63-38 to Stranahan. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 433rd in Texas, while the Mighty Dragons are ranked 67th in Florida).

Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 58-45 win over the Warriors.

Texas' defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mt. Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Texas was taken down by Mt. Pleasant 71-39 when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mt. Pleasant's Carter Chism, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. Now that Texas knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
