Basketball Recap: Villa Madonna Takes a Loss

Villa Madonna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Trinity Christian Academy Titans and fell 59-31. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mike Callioni, who posted six points and five steals. Jay Meyers was another key player, putting up four points.

Villa Madonna's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Villa Madonna will be playing at home against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Harrison County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
