Volleyball Recap: Squalicum Storm vs. Burlington-Edison Tigers
Squalicum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Burlington-Edison Tigers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Squalicum was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.
Burlington-Edison found their leader in sophomore Kenzie Damon, who had 13 digs and three aces.
Squalicum's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Burlington-Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season.
As of now, neither Squalicum nor Burlington-Edison have any future games scheduled.
