The Chester Yellowjackets will take on the Waterloo Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Chester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Chester wound up with the same score they had in their last game (7-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Chester saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elaina Lutman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Lutman has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played.
Meanwhile, Waterloo waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Aidan Dintelman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Sam Juelfs was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Mallory Thompson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Waterloo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Civic Memorial only posted a batting average of .125.
Waterloo's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chester hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Waterloo struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
