Basketball Game Preview: Madisonville Mustangs vs. Palestine Wildcats

Madisonville hasn't had much luck against Palestine recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Madisonville Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Palestine Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Madisonville lost 61-39 to Bullard on Friday. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Palestine suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Center, falling 69-47. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Palestine's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Madisonville, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Madisonville took a serious blow against Palestine in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 81-45. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Madisonville was down 41-20.
