Softball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

If Eastern was riding high fresh off their 28-2 takedown of Glenwood on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 7-0 to the Northwest Mohawks on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Mohawks: they've now lost six in a row.

Eastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braelyn Bevins, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Northwest, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Eastern has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Clay on the 6th. As for Northwest, they will square off against Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
