Basketball Recap: Clarion-Limestone Comes Up Short

Clarion-Limestone was the 89-64 winner over Cranberry Area when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Clarion-Limestone Lions were dealt an 89-51 defeat at the hands of the Cranberry Area Berries on Friday. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-26.

When it comes to explaining why Clarion-Limestone lost, don't look at Jase Ferguson. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 15 en route to 24 points and six boards. Ferguson is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Charlie Hepfl was another key player, putting up five points.

The loss snapped Clarion-Limestone's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Cranberry Area, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Clarion-Limestone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-50 win against Moniteau on the 13th. Cranberry Area has also already played their next matchup, a 79-45 victory against Sheffield on the 14th.
