Football Recap: Hinkley Takes a Loss

Hinkley fell victim to Denver North and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They were dealt a 40-0 defeat at the hands of the Vikings.

Emma Lamar had an outrageously good game for Denver North as she rushed for 186 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. Those 186 rushing yards gave Lamar a new career-high. Carmen Chairez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Denver North, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hinkley has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Lincoln on the 11th. As for Denver North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 24-6 win against Denver West on the 11th.
