Recap: Middletown Islanders vs. Central Falls Warriors

The Middletown Islanders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 16th straight defeat. The matchup between them and Central Falls wasn't particularly close, with Middletown falling 47-31. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Middletown of the 39-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Middletown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ella Bolano. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points. Bolano continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Middletown dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Central Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Middletown will be playing at home against Lincoln School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Middletown is ranked 45th, while Lincoln School is ranked 24th). As for Central Falls, they will head out on the road to take on Narragansett at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Narragansett will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Central Falls surely won't give up without a fight.
