Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They fell 12-7 to the Jay Royals on Tuesday. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Royals earlier this season, when they won 11-8.

Trevor Land made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Jay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

While Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
