Basketball Recap: United South Central Comes Up Short

United South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 71-39 defeat at the hands of the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-56 back in January.

United South Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. United South Central will host Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, they will be playing at home against Maple River at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
